InfoJustice Announces Altruist Achievement by Rhode Island.  Health and Human Services altruist States follow:

Rhode Island May 28, 1998 tie.

"Some say that the age of chivalry is past, that the spirit of romance is dead.  The age of chivalry is never past, so long as there is a wrong left unredressed on earth."  Charles Kingsley, Vol, II, Ch 28: "A good conscience is a continual Christmas."  Ben Franklin, Poor Richards Almanack.

Florida June 12, 1997

Washington June 27, 1997

Illinois and Texas July 31, 1997

all tie for first place.

Arkansas, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina tie for second place.

AMA,  Iowa, Mississippi, the FCC and   Rhode Island tie for third.

The leaders of these States, Government Agencies, Organizations and Districts are to be applauded for their commitment to exposing the life-threatening health risks of tobacco through scientifically proven forensic evidence. These risks were discussed in an article posted at the InfoJustice Journal's Tele-Learning and News Bureau's Beat the Press announcement of cutting-edge 1988 medical news.  These 14 states although only comprising a slight percentage of the 50 have momentum through example and sucess such as the Minnesota Action.

Tobacco is one of many products regulated by The U.S. Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.   The U.S. Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, Drug Enforcement Administration and involved State Health and Human Resources Specialists reiterate what has already been written about with respect to tobacco.  However, their purview ensures peaceful tranquity and a safe evironment in which future generations can continue in the tradition of the patriotic principles written in our Declaration of Independance and our Contsitution (with its first Ammendments in tact).  "Wining is accomplished when no one loses".

InfoJustice would like to see the day that tobacco as it is presented to consumers today comes to a hault.  A question remains, however: would the sword be mightier if the fight were united and the States banded together to wage a campaign through the judicial system? Through this approach combined with individual actions, the achievable might be ensured in lieu of some dream award through sepratism. Please join the States and their leaders in their quest to reveal the basic and self-evident truths about tobacco so that the health and safety of this country's citizenry are ensured.

Act now and protect others.  Don't let the tobacco industry's health robbers profiteer off of any more men, women, or children. The only promise that they can make is one of dispair, mutating genes, ectopic pregnancy, delay in healing, cancer, atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases (such as heart disease and stroke), birth defects, kidney disease, lung disease, decreased conditioning and overall decreased life expectancy..".

"The true test of civilization is not the census, nor the size of cities, nor the crops, -no, but the kind of person the country turns out."  Ralph Waldo: Emerson" : Society and Solitude.
